Emulate a Photographer

I believe that this is my most successful image of this assignment. I as able to find a similar scene and shoot at a similar angle or perspective. and also create the same black and white coloring. The most challenging aspect of this assignment was finding a similar style photograph. I realized I was focusing too much on find the same object or scene that is in the professional picture instead of emulating the style of the photograph. In the future, I would steer away from subject and more towards style.

I like your thought process in emulating this photo, and you executed it very well. This is a very accurate example of pictorialist and aesthetically evaluative photography. I appreciate the focus on the grass with the city far in the background rather than the other way around. The bright green pop of color in front immediately attracts my attention and brings me a sense of happiness and positivity. At the same time, the picture in its entirety also creates a calm and relaxed mood with the beautiful landscape.
